Report a Problem
One of the main responsibilities of SLCR is to investigate potential problems that will jeopardize our confluence waterways.
When you are reporting a suspected problem we request as much information as possible to allow us to immediately investigate and/or notify the appropriate parties. The following information will allow us to expeditiously investigate a problem.
- Location of the problem. Provide as much detail as possible: mile marker, buoy number, GPS data, license plate numbers, boat numbers, etc. The more detailed the information the easier it will be for us to relocate.
- The date and time that the problem was observed. Is this a one time or continuing problem? Also indicate the date and time you are making the report.
- Describe the problem, providing as much detail as possible, i.e pink bubbling liquid coming out of a pipe located on the right descending back of the Illinois River at Mile marker 7.0.
- Identify all persons that can attest to seeing the problem. We may need witnesses should this matter require litigation.
- Provide your contact information (name, telephone number, etc) so that we can get back to you for details.
- Should you not want to identify yourself, we will still do our best to investigate, however the more details we have the more likely we will be able to promptly investigate the problem.
