Mission Statement
The mission of the St. Louis Confluence Riverkeeper organization is to make a significant ongoing contribution to preserving and protecting the water quality of the Mississippi, Missouri, and Illinois Rivers where they come together to form the confluence. And, to serve as a source of contintuing information and public education through cooperation with other organizations.

- St. Louis Confluence Riverkeeper (SLCR)is a 501c3 not for profit organization dedicated to protecting the waters of the three great rivers in the metropolitan St. Louis area.
- One of the main responsibilities of the SLCR is to investigate potential problems that might jeopardize our waterways.
- SLCR is a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance. Waterkeeper Alliance is a worldwide group of waterkeepers; riverkeepers, baykeepers, soundkeepers, harborkeepers, lakekeepers, and more. Each works full time to insure that the waters they protect have an excellent water quality as possible.
- In the greater St. Louis area the Riverkeeper is Mike Bush. He can be reached at the “Contact Riverkeeper” tab on the left. Mike is a lifelong resident of the area. He has been a boater since age 16. He lives with his family in Richmond Heights, MO, a suburb of St. Louis.
